Joseph Wayne "Joey" Caler

CALER, Joseph Wayne "Joey" Joseph Wayne "Joey" Caler was called home to live with the angels after a short battle with cancer on Good Friday, (April 6, 2007). He was born in the town of Willimantic on Jan. 21, 1964 to Jo Anne Cooper Caler and the late Willard R. Caler. Joey's passion was cooking. He worked at the Farmington, CT Marriott for many years. He and Martha moved to Vermont as a result of his interests in outdoor activities in 2001. He is survived by his wife, Martha Dorn and his two sons, Benton Joseph Caler and Dietrich Gilmore Caler; his mother, Jo Anne Caler, a brother A. Nick Young and his two children Katlyn and Johnny; sisters, Melodie Young and her son James Anderson, and Candy Foucher and her husband Bob and their daughter Candace (Bambi) and her son Joseph McFarlane; his maternal grandmother Emily Cooper and their family, his uncle Joe and Dee Cooper and his auntie Chris and uncle Barry Platt and cousins Evan and Nikolai Jerunicha. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Gail Dorn, and in-laws Allison and Michael McIntyre and their children, Jennifer and Glenn Pietrow and their children, Susan Dorn, Adam and Sharon Dorn and Marlene Brown, and his second family The Cortina Inn and Resort. He was pre-deceased by his maternal grandfather, Joseph H. Cooper, brother, John Robert Caler and aunt Beverly Jerunicha Calling hours will be held Tuesday April 10, from 3- 5 p.m. at Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland, VT.
