James A. Tatum
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. James A. Tatum, 90, of Hattiesburg.
He went to be with the Lord Easter Sunday morning, April 20, 2014.
Mr. Tatum was a retired manager of the Forrest County Coop. He was a member of Main Street Baptist church and a former member of First Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army
Veteran of WW II and a recipient of the Purple Heart
. He was a Mississippi State Graduate, where he earned a degree in Agriculture. He served on the Board of Directors of Walthall Citizens Bank in Tylertown, MS. He was an avid gardener, fisherman, and a strong believer of higher education.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice Tatum of Hattiesburg; two daughters, Patricia Nicholson (Jim) of Hattiesburg and Becky Geriner (George) of Gulf Breeze, FL; one son, Doug Tatum (Liza) of Dallas, TX; one sister, one brother, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM Friday at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home in Hattiesburg, MS.
