Alice Owens
Born JUNE 30, 1925 passed away JANUARY 23, 2015 peacefully in her sleep. She was a native and resident of Hattiesburg for the past 43 years returning after spending more than 22 years in Cleveland, Ohio as a presser for Pippens Cleaners. She leaves a multitude of family to remember her legacy. Her daughter, Sandra O. Simien and son, Elvin Simien, Sr. of New Orleans, LA. Three grandsons and their wives, Elvin Simien, II and Kimbule; Shawn Simien and Laura; Elon Simien, Sr. and Ashlynne. Nine grandchildren, Erianne Fairley, Antigoni Evans, Ashlee, Taylor, Tyra, Ayanna, Elon II, Cace Simien and Tyrin Bell. A host of 'special' daughters, sons, grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, January 30, 2015 at 1:00p.m. at the TrueLight Baptist Church, 840 N. Main St. Visitation from 11:00a.m. til time of service. Rev. Archie Morris, Officiant. Internment at Highland Cemetery. Century Funeral Home in Charge of arrangements.
