Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, January 11, 2013 at Pinola Baptist Church for Bernice M. Banks, age 92. Mrs. Banks passed away from this life on Monday, January 7, 2013 in Petal. Reverend Joel Everson and Reverend Glenn McElhaney will officiate and interment will be in the Banks Cemetery in Pinola.

Wade Funeral Home of Collins is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Bush, Elijah "Pete' " McIntosh, Val Moore, Norris Moore, Charles Carraway, and Nathan Banks.

Emma Bernice Myers Banks was born on Friday, January 30, 1920 in Tyler, TX, to Arlier Myers and Willie Ruth Norris Myers. She was a retired beautician and a homemaker. Mrs. Banks was a member of Pinola Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband of 50 years, Robert H. "Bob" Banks; a daughter, Betty Banks Thompson; and 3 sisters, Bea Morrison, Doris Moore, and Frances Carraway.

Survivors are her 2 sons, Bobby Banks and his wife Julie of Moselle and Charlie Banks and his wife Frankye of Hattiesburg; 7 grandchildren, Becky Thompson, Erin Pollitz, Christy and Richard Kinsey, Bethany and Dusty Williams, Lauren and Nick Miller, Nathan and Tori Banks, and Patrick Banks; 8 great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Williams, Javan Williams, Mia Williams, Logan Kinsey, Adia Kinsey, Banks Pollitz, Kara Pollitz, and Reid Miller; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM at Pinola Baptist Church.

Friends desiring to make memorials in lieu of flowers are asked to make such to the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children, 2500 North State Street, Jackson, MS 39216.
