Billie Frances Ford
Biloxi, MS
Billip Frances Ford of Biloxi, MS, was laid to rest on August , 2014 at the Payne's Chapel Cemetery in Spring Cottage, MS. Visitation and Services, officiated by Rev. Ralph Ford, were held at the Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia, MS. Pallbearers were her nephews, George May, Thomas May, Himbert Sinopoli and Will Ford; great nephews Scott May, Eric May, Thomas May, Jr. and her nephew by marrige and former student, John B. Bascom.
Billie was a long time resident of the coast and a member of the Mississippi City United Methodist Church. She was a Social Studies teacher having taught in Florida prior to moving back home to Mississippi and teaching in the Gulfport School System where she taught at Bayou View Junior High until retirement.
After retiring from the Gulfport School System, Billie volunteered at Garden Park Hospital and worked part-time with the Harrison County Tourism Commission working with various conventions on the coast.
Billie was predeceased by her parents, Winnie Seale Ford and Ernest Ford, her step-mother, Queenie Ford, and nephews, Phillip May and David May.
Billie is survivied by her sisters, Pauline Sinopoli of Biloxi, MS, Ernestine May of Columbia, MS, and Patsy Wicks of Garland, TX, and her brother, Russ Ford of Columbia, MS. She is also survivied by her nephews, George May and Thomas May of Columbia, MS; Himbert Sinopoli of Columbus, OH; Will Ford of New Orleans, LA, and her nieces, Gina Lacaze of Biloxi, MS; Charisse Buzzella of Lake City, FL; Tara Nettles of Hattiesburg, MS; Paula Bascom of Birmingham, AL; Jessica Wicks of Houston, TX; Kimberly Hoff of Dallas, TX and Christy Bedwell of Atlanta, GA and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
