Charles Leonard Bass

Purvis

Mr. Charles Leonard Bass, 64, of Purvis died Thursday, June 12, 2014 at his home. Services will be Monday, June 16, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Moore Funeral Chapel in Purvis followed by burial in Boone Cemetery.

Mr. Bass was a member of First Pentecostal Church in Purvis. He was a delivery man for the Hattiesburg American for 44 years and a veteran of the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie May McRaney Bass; one infant son, Cedric Charles Bass; his parents, Houston and Evelyn Bass; and one sister, Doris Merle Bates.

He is survived by two brothers, Bobby Joe Bass of McIntosh, Ala. and Troy L. Bass of Petal; two brothers-in-law, Rev. Charles McRaney and Homer Paul McRaney; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 15, 2014 from 5 - 8 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Purvis.
