Mary Magdalene Odom of Hattiesburg, MS, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012 at Eden House in Waco, TX. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, at Highland Cemetery in Hattiesburg, Mississippi with Sister and Brother in Christ, Susie and Rex DuBose officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home.
Mary was born March 3, 1926 in DeKalb, Mississippi to Johnny and Helen Skipper. She retired from South Central Bell after 40 years. After retirement she worked part time at the University of Southern Mississippi.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 57 years, Daniel Macon Odom; and a brother, Jerry Wilson Skipper.
She is survived by her daughter, Tara Leigh Odom, of Waco; and her brother, Willie O'Neal Skipper and wife, Ginny, of Harbor City, CA.
