Sarah Ann Wendel, 74, of Oak Grove, died April 5, 2012 at Forrest General Hospital. Services will be at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Grove followed by burial in Richburg Cemetery.
Mrs. Wendel was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvis and Annie Mae Godfrey; two sisters, Elsie King and Delores Godfrey; and a brother, Cecil Breland.
A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she is survived by her husband, Carl Wendel of Oak Grove; two sons, Lawrence P. (Sherry) Wendel of Oak Grove and Nathan (Monica) Wendel of Conroe, Tex.; four grandchildren, Kristina Gaumer, Jarret Wendel, Ella Wendel and Dean Wendel; and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Mildred Fillingame of Rawls Springs and a brother, Ernest Breland of the Glendale Community.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., Saturday at the church.
