Wilson Falgout grew up in the Mississippi Delta. He served in the United States Army 36th Infantry Division during World War II and fought in the European and North African campaigns. He was awarded a Purple Heart, two Oak Leaf Clusters, and a Bronze Star medal for heroic achievements in Italy. He married Teedee Percival on January 11, 1947. In 1972, Wilson and his wife began a new business and opened their first Karmelkorn Shoppe in Greenville, MS. They continued in their small business adventure by opening more food shops in Greenville and Hattiesburg including Dipper Dan, the Court Jester, and Yogurt Delite. After years of success, Wilson finally retired closing their shops in 1999.
Wilson's church memberships included Lincoln Road Baptist Church of Hattiesburg, and First Baptist Church of Richton. He taught Sunday School, served on church committees, and made a joyful noise in the sanctuary. He loved his men's Baraca Sunday School class.
