Grady Leslie Collins

Harrison, Tennessee

Grady Leslie Collins, 73, originally from Hattiesburg, Mississippi, died on January 27, 2014 in Chattanooga, TN. Visitation will be at Moore Funeral Home from 11:30 to 1:30 on Saturday, February 1 with services immediately following. Rev. Jimmy Hill will be officiating. Interment will be at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Collins was preceded in death by his parents, J.L. and Berta Collins.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca C. Collins of Harrison, TN; daughter Deborah (Don) Leland of Petal; son Dean Collins of Ooltewah, TN; sister Bonita (Carey) Howard of Purvis; brother Gerald Collins of Hattiesburg; sister Becky (Floyd) Bush of Hattiesburg; four grandchildren, Tony (Krystal) Leland of Petal, Michelle Leland of Hattiesburg, Alyson Collins and Rachel Collins of Ooltewah, TN; one great-grandchild, Lexi Leland of Petal; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He served his country in the United States Navy while stationed in San Diego, California. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Banking and Finance from San Diego State University, and his Master's Degree in Student Personnel Services from The University of Southern Mississippi.

He worked in the financial aid office at The University of Southern Mississippi before becoming the Director of Financial Aid at The University of South Alabama and later as Director of Financial Aid at Chattanooga State Community College.
