Charles N. McCaffrey, Sr.


Charles N. McCaffrey, Sr., 79, of Hattiesburg, died November 4, 2012 at Forrest General Hospital. Visitation will be Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. with services immediately following.

Mr. McCaffrey was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Germany. Mr. McCaffrey received many recognition awards during his career in the restaurant and food service industry for sales and marketing. He was the founder, creator and product developer of Blendco, Inc. and Ezy-Time Products. He also received patents for his inventions related to the products he created.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.L. "Red" McCaffrey, Sr. and Elma McCaffrey; and brothers, J.L. "Little Red" McCaffrey, Jr. and Clarence Ray McCaffrey.

He is survived by his wife, Edwina M. McCaffrey of Hattiesburg; two sons, Timothy McCaffrey and Charles N. McCaffrey, Jr. both of Hattiesburg; daughter, Shannon D. Quick of Hattiesburg; sisters, Sue Fortenberry, Frances Robbins and Judy Strickland, all of Hattiesburg; brothers, Sam McCaffrey of Long Beach and David McCaffrey of the Philippines; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
