Clayton Causey

Clayton Causey, 51, formerly of Perry County, died Saturday, Sept. 21 at Claiborne County Hospital in Tazewell, Tn.

He was a retired coal miner and son of Hazel Boggs Causey and the late Chrisley Causey. He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Boyd and Mima Causey; maternal grandparents Boyd and Ethel Boggs; uncle Henry Boggs; and wife Donna Ritchie Causey.

He is also survived by daughters Melissa Lawson and husband Randy of Georgetown, Ky., and Kimberly Causey and husband Joe of Tazewell; son Clayton Causey, Jr. and wife Nikki of Wisconsin; sister Teresa Ingram and husband Billy of Delphia; and brothers Jeff Causey and wife Lois of Harlan, Donald Causey and wife Ann of Corbin, and Chris Causey of Slemp.

He is also survived by his special niece, Katelin McKinney Halcomb; grandchildren Makayla, Emily, Haley, Ely, and Lilly; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25. Services will begin at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26 with Darrell Caldwell officiating. Interment will be at Francis Branch Cemetery in Jeff.
