William Ellis Manning, 101, formerly of Hazard, passed away on April 12, just one day shy of his 102nd birthday. He was retired from Kentucky Power, and was the son of the late Albert A. and Myrtle Thompson Manning. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Davidson Manning.
He is survived by four children, William E. Manning, Jr., Mary K. McCord, Thomas A. Manning, and James K. Manning; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Maggard's Mountain View Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 17, with Rev. Lyndon Barger officiating at the Riverside Cemetery in Hazard. Memorial donations are suggested to the
