Clifford Wise Davis, 75, of Hazard, passed away Saturday, July 27 at the hospice care center in Hazard. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from the Chrysler Corporation in Dayton, Ohio, as a union representative.
He was the son of the late Wilbur Davis and the late Ruth E. Rice Davis.
He is survived by daughters Alica Bryant and husband Ronnie of Hazard, Rhonda Davis of Ohio, and Robin Davis Goin and husband Michael of Ohio; sisters Brenda Bailey and husband James of Hazard, Joan Adams and husband Earl of South Carolina, Edith Stacy and husband Don of Ohio, and Patricia Barnett and husband David of Ohio; brothers John Wilbur Davis and wife Patricia of Ohio, and Joe Harold Davis of Ohio; grandchildren Clifford, Jeffrey, William, Lindsay, and Jennifer; great-grandchildren Milo and Myan; and special family member Phyllis Brashear Davis.
Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30. A memorial service will immediately follow with Rev. Densmore Goodson officiating.
