Danny Gay, 66, formerly of Perry County, Passed away on Sunday, July 20, at the Norton Healthcare Pavilion in Louisville. He was the retired owner of D&S Heating/Cooling in Austin, Ind., served during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army, and attended the First Baptist Church in Austin.

He was the son of Dana Spencer Gay and the late Daily Gay.

He is also survived by his wife, Mahala Gambill Gay; four sisters, Sally Gambill, of Austin, Ind., Margie Pice, of Borden Ind., Donna Russell, of Edinburgh, Ind., and Judy Gay, of Austin, Ind.; one brother, Steven Gay, of Austin, Ind.; and a host of family and friends.

Arrangements were handled by Maggard's Mountain View Chapel, where family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, July 24, and funeral services will follow directly after with Rev. Bill Gambill officiating. Interment will be at the Riverside Cemetery in Hazard.
