Kidd Fugate

Kidd S. Fugate, 73, passed away on Saturday, April 12, at the Hazard RH. He was born in Perry County, the son of the late Troy Fugate and the late Ella Williams Fugate. he was also preceded in death by brothers Alonzo, Hobert, Condy, Doug, and Fred Fugate; and one sister, Opal Fugate Campbell. He was a school teacher in the Clearfork two-room school, and was a longtime employee and superintendent at the River Processing Preparation Plant in Dunraven. He was one of the founders of Fugate's Skating Rink, and longtime coach in the Perry County Youth Football League. He was a member and youth leader of the Don Blair Memorial Baptist Church and had a ministry at the Kentucky River Regional Jail.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Miller Fugate of Grapevine; two daughters, Karla Walker and Starla Bell, both of Grapevine; grandsons, Robbie Walker and Jason Walker; brother, Glover and Brenda Fugate of Second Creek; and a host f other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Kidd S. Fugate were conducted on Tuesday April 15, at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home at 1 p.m., with Travis France and A.J. Miller officiating. The interment will follow in the Miller Family Cemetery located at Grapevine. The visitation was at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Monday from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.
