David Earl Stamper, 50, died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013.
He was born in Hazard on Sept. 19, 1962, to the late Emmanuel Ray Stamper and Mary Lou Stamper, and was also preceded in death by his aunt Phyllis Everidge, and uncle John Creech.
He is survived by his son, Lawrence Wade Miller, Jr. and wife Cassie Collins of Hazard; daughters Jessica Nicole Stamper and husband Tommy Stacy of Hazard, Michelle Burr of Hazard, Althea Stamper of Tennessee, Tara Hoffman and husband Craig of Washington state, and Lottie Sizemore of Buckhorn; brother Grover Stamper and wife Jeannie of Lower Second Creek; sisters Debbie Combs of Gorman Hollow and Janice Neace and husband Johnny of Lower Second Creek; along with 11 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Arrangements were handled by Engle-Bowling Funeral Home of Hazard. Services were held on Sunday, Aug. 17 with Willie Wagers, Jesse Paul Wagers, and Eddie Combs officiating at the Hiner Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. Burial took place at the Stamper cemetery located at Lower Second Creek.
