Frieda Farler Sturgill, 65, died Saturday, Aug. 10 at the hospice care center in Hazard.
She was born on March 3, 1948, in Perry County to the late Charles and Carrie Feltner, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene Sturgill; brothers Elvin "Buck," Lester, and Glenn Farler; and sisters Geraldine Arnett and Katherine Whitaker.
She is survived by her son, Chuck Sturgill and wife Tina of Viper; grandchild Brandy Holland of Viper; step-grandchild Cody White of Typo; special niece Robin Farler of Etowah, Tennessee; precious dog Diva; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, Aug. 14 at 1 p.m. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home of Hazard with Larry David Caudill officiating. The interment will follow in the Charles Farler Cemetery located at Viper. The visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6 to 9 P.M.
