Steven Boyd Holland, 49, died Wednesday, Oct. 2 at the University of Louisville Hospital.
He was born Jan. 16, 1964, in Hazard, the son of Zona Rice Hensley and the late Pearl Begley, and was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Hazel Thompson, and special friend James Combs.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Faye Holland of Combs; mother Zona Rice Hensley of Dyersburg, Tn.; sons Steven Holland, Jr. and Everett Campbell, Jr., both of Combs; daughters Rebecca Justice and husband Jeffery of Pikeville, and Hazel Watts and husband Randy of Combs; brother Tommy "Peanut" Holland of New Jersey; sisters Sandra "Sissy" Holland of New Jersey, Linda Faye Neace of Dyersburg, and Susan Darlene Holland of Dyersburg; grandchildren Steven Tyler, Melissa Stephanie, Kyle, Braxton and Starla; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, Oct 6 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home of Hazard with Merill David Collins officiating. The interment followed in the Combs Cemetery at Combs, Kentucky.
