Viola White Haddix, 80, of Chavies, passed away on Saturday, June 7, at the Hazard Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Robert White and the late Omega Henson. She is also preceded in death by her first husband, Lute Fugate; second husband, James Haddix; two sons, Billy Joe Hardin and Michael Dean Hardin; and one brother, Miles White. Viola will be remembered for her kind-heartedness, loving nature, and her generosity to those in need.
She is survived by three daughters, Mary Louise Hardi, of Florida, Theresa Jamille Tooni, of Florida, and Tammy and Robby Robinson, of Chavies; three sons, Ricky Lynn and Donna Fugate, of Chavies, Jimmy and Lisa Hardin, of Bonnyman, and Charlie Dale and Cheryl Hardin, of Georgia; five brothers, Carlo and Donna White, of Bonnyman, Dewey and Mary White, of River Caney, Hubert and Virgie White, of Tennessee, Tommy and Sandy White, of Ohio, and Harlan White, of Bonnyman; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and friends.
Arrangements were handled by Maggard Brother's Funeral Home in Hazard, where family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday, June 9. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 10, with Ken Miller and Willie Wagers officiating. Interment will be at the White Family Cemetery in Grapevine.
