Randy Walters, 63, of Busy, passed away on Monday, April 21, at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington. Randy was a member of the Big Creek Baptist Church, a mason, had a lifelong career in radio personality, co-owner and operator of the Perry County News for many years, band musician, and a great husband, father, and poppy.
He was the son of the late Clifford Walters and the late Wilma Jean Jarvis Walters. He is also preceded in death by one sister, Sharon Walters, and father-in-law, Lee Feltner.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Walters; one daughters, Shannon Melissa Walters Arnett; one son, Jason Randolph and Freda Walters; one sister, Teresa and Steve Woock; four grandchildren, Kody Patrick "Kody Man" Arnett, Kennedy Morgan "Princess Kennedy" Arnett, Braison Randolph "Braison Boy" Walters, and Raegan Danielle "Pookie Pooh" Walters; and a host of nieces, nephews, brothers- and sisters-in-law, family, and friends.
Arrangements were handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel, where the family received friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, and funeral services were at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 24, with Joseph Engle officiating. Interment was at the Feltner Family Cemetery in Willard.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made toward his funeral account.
