James Ivory Eddington, 69, of Viper, passed away on May 29, in Harriman, Tenn. He was the son of the late Corbet Eddington and the late Myrtle Sexton. He is also preceded in death by one son, Anthony Eddington; one sister, Bonnie Thompson; and one brother, William Eddington.
He is survived by one daughter, Melissa and Timothy Rush, of Harriman, Tenn.; four sisters, Irene Smith, of Tenn., Brenda Marvin, of Ala., Jessie Caudill, of Nancy, Ky., and Maxine Smith, of Louisville; three brothers, Edgar Eddington, of Ga., Roger Eddington, of Ala., and Donnie Eddington, of Viper; special friend, Elizabeth Seals; five grandchildren, Bethany Eddington, Jasmine Eddington, Lindsey Eddington, Daniel Kilburn, and Michael Kilburn; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Arrangements were handled by by Maggard's Mountain View Chapel. Family received friends from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, May 31, at the Jeff Missionary Baptist Church, and funeral services followed directly after, with Glenn Noe officiating. Interment was at the Roark Cemetery in Kodak.
