Irene M. Rucker, age 90 of Campbellsburg, died Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Friendship Manor in Pewee Valley. She was born in Waco, KY, and was the daughter of the late Rufus Lee Moberly and Helen Fielder Moberly. She was a cook for the Henry County School System for 20 years and member of Campbellsburg Christian Church.
She is survived by one stepson: Jimmie Baker of Maryville, Tenn.; two daughters: Phyllis Jean Hedges of Buckner and Debbie Baird (Don) of Lexington; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grand children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Rucker, a son, Jerry Rucker, two brothers, Rufus Lee Moberly Jr., and Marvin Moberly, and a sister, Mary Thelma Moberly McIntosh.
Funeral services were held 1 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2013 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville with Rev. Carl Rucker and Rev. Rob Shrader officiating. Entombment was in Defoe Cemetery.
