Martha Elizabeth (Yount) Clements, age 78 of Clements Bottom, died Sunday, May 5, at the Norton Hosparus Pavilion in Louisville. Daughter of the late Reuben William and Lillian (Kelly) Yount, she was a member of Lockport Baptist Church where she played the organ and piano for 55 years.
She is survived by three daughters: Karen Meade and Willard of Bagdad, Janet Goldsberry and John of Owenton, Brenda K. Coleman and Harold of Bowling Green; two sons: John Mark Clements and Kim of Clements Bottom, Billy Reed Clements and Tamara of Pleasureville; three brothers: Sidney Yount and Norma Jean, Robert Lee Yount and Katie Sue , Leonard Yount and Linda, all of Bethlehem; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Martha was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Linda Sue Clements; sister, Mary K. Yount; and her husband, Sidney Rowlett Clements Jr.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 11, at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home, officiated by Bro. Paul Briscoe, pastor of Lockport Baptist Church. Interment will be in Pleasureville Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Friday, May 10, at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be John Mark Clements, Billy Reed Clements, Joshua Coleman, William Clements, Jacob Sidney Clements, John D. Goldsberry, Willard Meade & Harold Coleman.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hosparus or Kosair Children's Hospital.
