Carol L. (Little) Kalbfleisch, age
71, of Eminence, passed away at her
home in the care of her family on
Friday, July 11, 2014. She was the
daughter of the late William Earl
and Mary Louise (Nobis) Little of
Canton, Ohio. Carol received her
Bachelor's degree in teaching from
Bellarmine/Ursuline College, and
her Master's in teaching from the
University of Louisville. She taught
elementary & middle school for 39 years in Henry,
Oldham & Jefferson counties. She loved spending
time with her family and friends at her home and at
her cabin on the river. Carol was a member of St. John
Catholic Church in Eminence.
Carol and her family wish to express their gratitude
to Dr. Lynn Parker and her staff at the J. Graham
Brown Cancer Center as well as the professionals at
Hosparus for their compassion and care.
Carol is survived by her husband of 50 years, Doug
Kalbfleisch of Eminence; daughter, Cheri Kraus and
husband, Ken, of LaGrange; son, Ted and wife, Eileen
(Rickard) Kalbfleisch, of Louisville; sister, Jeanne Ann
(Little) Carson of Chicago; grandchildren: Kyle and
Kasey Kraus; Ted Kalbfleisch, II; Jacob Kalbfleisch,
and two nieces, Jennifer (Carson) Swanson and Rosie
Kalbfleisch.
A Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, July
19, 2014 at St. John Chrysostom (122 Elm Street,
Eminence).
Memorial contributions may be given to the James
Graham Brown Cancer Center.
Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2014 at
Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.
