Charles E. "Frenchy" Morrison, age 75 of Smithfield, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital. Son of the late Charles Alford and Maguerite (Cumbee) Morrison, he was a United States Army Veteran. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 42 years of service and was a member of the UAW and Eminence Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Marie (Bryan) Morrison, Smithfield; one daughter, Donna Morrison Palmer (Mark), Frankfort; one son, John W. Morrison, Smithfield; one sister, Wanda Sue Box (David), New Haven; six grandchildren: Josh, Trevor, Bryan, Zach, Jacob and Madison; and one great-grandson, Elijah. He was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Lou Reezor and one brother, Claudie Wayne Morrison.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, Jan. 9) at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Pastor Gary French of Life Renewal Church in Buckner will officiate. Interment will be in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation was at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8.
Honorary pallbearers will be LeRoy Smith, Cecil Bryan, Jim Bryan, David Box, Billy Bryan, Bobby Morrison, Andy White, Glenn Knight, Tommy Dockery, David E. Box and members of the Eminence Masonic Lodge.
Pallbearers will be Josh Dziedzic, Trevor Dziedzic, Zach Dziedzic, Todd Broughton, Bryan Morrison, Jacob Morrison, Kevin Bryan and Mark Bryan.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Juvenille Diabetes Foundation.
