Emma Jane (Brewer) Ellis, age 65 of Eminence, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013 at Jewish Hospital in Shelbyville. She was the daughter of the late Leonard Scott and Faye Aline (Birch) Brewer and a homemaker. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall-Jehovah's Witness in Shelbyville. She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Casey.

She is survived by her husband: Ron Ellis of Eminence; one daughter: Sheila Case (David) Cropper; and three sons: Lanny Roberts, Eminence, Matthew Jackson (Pamela Jean) Bethlehem and Jeremy Shawn Ellis, W.VA; one sister, Patsy Jennings, Eminence, Shirley Coons (Jack), Eminence and Marilyn Lyons (Charles), Bethlehem; one brother: Paul "Peanuts" Brewer (Debbie), Port Royal; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home, officiated by Bro. Jim Jones of Kingdom Hall-Jehovah's Witness in Shelbyville. Interment was in New Castle Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Sam Jennings Jr., David Case, Paul Brewer, Jr., Charles Lyons, Edward Earl Ellis and Paul "Peanuts" Brewer.
Visitation was from 11 a.m. until service time on Saturday, Feb. 23, at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.
