Granville James "Jimmy" Vaughn, age 55 of New Castle died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, in Frankfort. Son of the late Granville and Martha (Crawley) Vaughn, he recently retired from the Kentucky Department of Transportation.
He is survived by two sisters: Sarah Clark, Shelbyville; Peggy Bryant (Ronnie) Pleasureville; five brothers: Pat Vaughn(Patti), Pewee Valley; Paul Vaughn, Frankfort; Dennis Vaughn (Terri), Mark Vaughn (Lana) and Vincent Vaughn (Amy), all of New Castle; and 13 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one nephew, Robbie Bryant.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday, Dec. 5) at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Dr. Corky Klingenfus will officiate. Interment will be in New Castle Cemetery. Visitation was after 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to WHAS Crusade for Children.
