Ryan James Lee, age 13, of Shelbyville, passed away on Monday, Oct. 30, 2017. He was the son of Dr. Tim and Lisa Lee and wonderful big brother to Lexi and Lucy. He loved helping others in any way he could and had a servant's heart. He made the most of his 13 years with us, and touched many lives.
He will be remembered for his smile, strong work ethic and caring personality. He was a straight A honor roll eighth grade student at Cornerstone Christian Academy, a lifelong member of Shelby Christian Church, and the senior patrol leader and life scout with Troop #271. Ryan enjoyed all that life had to offer, especially outdoor activities. He played on the varsity soccer team for CCA. Ryan was also a Jr. Certified Scuba Diver. He also enjoyed fishing, hiking and camping with family and friends whenever he could.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Helene Flinders and Bruce Ellman.
He is survived by his parents, Dr. Tim and Lisa Lee, and sisters, Lexi and Lucy Lee. He also leaves behind many friends and family who loved him including his paternal grandparents, Charles and Dorothy Lee of New York; local relatives, great uncle and great aunt, Marvin and Susan Baugh.
A celebration of life service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, at Shelby Christian Church.
In lieu of flowers, Ryan would love a donation be made to the Cornerstone Christian Academy Athletic Sports Complex 3850 Frankfort Road Shelbyville, Kentucky 40065.
