Charles "Chuck" Corolla, age 85 of Pleasureville, died Saturday, March 30, 2013, at his residence. He was a jockey for several years and the Jockeys' Guild Manager for 20 years. He served on the Board of Committees at Shelby Energy. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Pleasureville, Lockport Lodge and Eastern Star. He was the son of the late Samuel and Josephine (Comito) Corolla.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Marie (Fitch) Corolla, Pleasureville; two daughters: Vicky Hines, Louisville; Rita Kennedy (David), Louisville; three sons: Tony Hines, Louisville; Sameul Corolla (Connie), Pembroke Pines, Fla.; Frank Corolla, Louisville; two sisters: Mildred Palumbo, Providence, R.I.; Rosmarie Price (Richard), Flagler, Fla.; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, April 3) at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Park, Louisville. Visitation was from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, at the funeral home.
Honorary pallbearers were Tony Hines, Anthony Hines, Eric Hines, Sammie Corolla, Brook Carlin and Bob Wolf.
Pallbearers were David Kennedy, Frank Corolla, Charlie Szbanos, Sam Corolla, Eddie Fitch and Ronnie Golden.
