FERGUSON, DANA DALTON - Barboursville  
DANA DALTON FERGUSON, 63, of Barboursville, W.Va., passed away at home on June 18, 2016. He was born May 13, 1953, in Barboursville, a son of the late Melvin Earl Ferguson and Imogene Cooper Collins of Barboursville. Dana was a former employee of Wilson Welding and then in later years became disabled. Dana spent his extra time fixing cars and he was a avid animal lover. He adored his cats. Surviving family is Tosha Ecker (niece) and her children Ava and Ethan Ecker of Panama, N.Y.; two aunts, Linda Hinkle and Doris Cooper; and one uncle, Lloyd Ferguson. He was preceded in death by his sister Carolyn Edwards and his brother David Earl Ferguson. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2016, at the Wallace Funeral Home and Chapel, Barboursville, with Pastor Steve Hinkle officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1 to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Humane Society. Jesus said unto him, I am the resurrection and the life. He that believeth in me though he were dead, yet shall he live. John 11:25.

FERGUSON, LUCY RUTH MORRISON - Huntington  
LUCY RUTH MORRISON FERGUSON, 76, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016, in Cabell Huntington Hospital. She was born January 8, 1940, in Wayne County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Wade Morrison Sr. and Sophia Bias Morrison. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul "Skip" Ferguson; two sisters, Ada Shepherd and Lesta Adkins; and five brothers, LeRoy Morrison, Walter Morrison, Paul Morrison, Herbert Morrison and Richard Morrison. Survivors include two sons, Paul D. "Jaybo" Ferguson (Teresa) of Lakeview, Ohio and Edward Lee Ferguson (Dawn) of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Wade Morrison Jr. (Opal); a sister-in-law, Lorine Morrison; grandsons, Colton Ferguson, Austin Ferguson, Westlee Ferguson, and Brandon Ferguson; and a special "granddaughter" Sunnette Kellum. Funeral services will be conducted at noon Sunday, June 19, 2016, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Bro. J.D. Keller officiating. Burial will be in Bowen Cemetery. FIZER, MOLA E. - Huntington  
MOLA E. FIZER, 93, of Culloden, W.Va., passed away peacefully before dawn on Thursday, June 16, 2016, at Cabell Healthcare Center, Culloden. Born August 1, 1922, to Grover Cleveland and Lena Jane Reynolds Clark, she was the youngest of four children. She had outlived her brother Arnold Clark and sisters Alma Craddock and Dorothy Phelps. In 1942, Mola and Marco B. Fizer were married; Marco died in 1988. She was also predeceased by her oldest son Gary B. Fizer and her granddaughter Kelly L. Fizer Foulks. Family was so important to Mola all her life. She dedicated herself to being a good wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and neighbor. She was a fine housekeeper and a good cook. No visitor to her household ever left without being offered something to eat or drink. Hospitality was her specialty. Survivors include her sons Allen Scott (Claudia) Fizer of Culloden and Bruce Wayne (Sharon) Fizer of Huntington, W.Va. Also surviving are five grandchildren. six great-grandchildren, as well as nieces who are as close as daughters and their extended families. The family of Mola Fizer wishes to extend are gratitude and deep appreciation to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Cabell Healthcare Center in Culloden. Every day of her 26-month residency there, she was taken care of with compassion and skill. By their effective communication and openness, CHC helped us to navigate the long, hard journey of her progressive dementia. We thank you sincerely. In brighter days, Mola decided to donate her body to the Human Gift Registry of Marshall University Medical School. According to her wishes there will be no service; future arrangements will be private.

FOSTER, JACK W. - Louisa  
JACK W. FOSTER, 99, of Fort Gay, W.Va., passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016, at his home. He was born January 4, 1917, in Ashland, Kentucky, a son of the late Malinda McGlone and Thomas Jones Foster. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters Edith Ratliff, Ruth Bartram, Alice Crabtree and brothers Ralph Foster and Carl "Pete" Foster. Jack is survived by sisters Kathryn Luman of Louisa, Ky., Sally Miller of Johnstown, Pa., Violet "Bo" Nance (Joe) of Titusville, Fla., many nieces and nephews and lifelong friend Gene "Ooger" Workman. Special thanks to his caregivers Thursie Wellman, his niece who cared for him 14 years, and special thanks to Jerry Jordan, Mary Caudill, Carla Preston, Guy Preston and Libby Frasher who gave him care and devotion. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, June 23, 2016, at Young Funeral Home Chapel, Louisa, Ky. Burial will follow at Billups Gap Cemetery, Fort Gay. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 22 at Young Funeral Home.
