PARSONS Jr., RONALD "ALVIN" - Barboursville  
RONALD "ALVIN" PARSONS JR., 50, of Barboursville, went to be with the Lord on December 19, 2014. He was preceded in death by his oldest son Joshua Ryan Parsons, his parents, Ronald and Phyllis Davis Parsons, his brother Randy Parsons, grandparents, Charity Davis Cardwell, Alvin and Belva Parsons, and father-in-law Norris Adkins. Alvin leaves behind the love of his life, Dawnetta, his wife of 31 years, their son, Jarred and Heidi Parsons, two grandchildren, Isabelle and Wyatt Parsons, all of Barboursville, brother, Richie Parsons of Branchland, W.Va., a very special uncle Denzil Parsons, mother-in-law Dottie Adkins, several brothers and sisters-in-law, three nieces, five nephews, great niece and great nephews. Alvin retired from Brown Food Service in 2001. Alvin's family was his whole life. He loved all sports, especially the Cincinnati Bengals (Who Dey!). Alvin's smile and sense of humor will be dearly missed by all those who knew him. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville by Rev. Carlos Gibson and Rev. David Cardwell. Burial will be in Parsons Family Cemetery.

WILLA MARIE "MIMI" PERRY, age 91, of Mound, Minnesota. Mimi passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 15, 2014. Known for her abundant love, generosity of spirit, style, grace, sense of humor, strength, and kindness, she will be loved "forever and always" by her daughter Susan Borneman; grandsons Matthew (Kari Johnson) Borneman; Bryan (Beverly Newman) Borneman; granddaughter Melissa Barnes (Steve Doree); great-grandson Sam Doree; as well as her West Virginia family, grandchildren Sara (Doug) Stapleton, Michael (Christine) Powers, April (Mark) Adkins; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Elizabeth, Kyle, Mason and Sophia; many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends in MN, WV, OH, and CA. Their youngest child, she was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Mary Lloyd; her nine brothers and sisters as well as her beloved daughter, Barbara Jean Perry Powers. Our heartfelt thank you for their love and the care given to Mimi by Allina Hospice and Dr. Gretchen Rasmusson; Sojourn owners Sally and Tom; all of the Sojourn staff, caretakers, and friends. A "Celebration of Life and Love" memorial service will be held Friday, December 26 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church. Private interment at Sunset Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN. Memorial donations may be directed to the Mount Olive Lutheran Church Fund or The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society ( http://www.lls.org ).

PERTEE, ERIC FRANKLIN "EAK"  
ERIC "EAK" FRANKLIN PERTEE, 43, of Barboursville, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 24, 2014. He is the youngest son of Willis and Rebecca Pertee of Barboursville. He was preceded in death by his very special niece, Kelsey Rebecca Kuhn, whom he loved with all his heart. He is survived by his parents; his big brother and best friend Greg Pertee; his big sister Stephanie Call and her husband Doug; his nephews Tyler Pertee and his fiancee Brittany Ward and her son Connor Bays, Hunter Pertee and Korey and Quentin Call; his niece Kendall Kuhn-Barker and her husband Sam; a special aunt and second mother, Conalee Williamson and her companion Bob Jones; aunt Carrie Maynard, uncle T.J. Pertee, aunt Wanda Chaffin and her husband Jim, and many other relatives and friends. Ministers Amos Prince and Tex Pertee will officiate services. Brother Greg Pertee, nephews Tyler and Hunter Pertee and close friends Joey Blankenship, Mitchell Whorley and Brandon Simpson will serve as pallbearers. Eric is considered a very special person to all that know and love him. His heart was so big and so beautiful. He had such a fun-loving personality. His smile and laughter could light up a room. He was the very definition of a momma's boy and his father's pride and joy. His brother and sister and nieces and nephews simply adored him. He faced and beat many formidable opponents in his lifetime, including cancer. Unfortunately, the battle he fought the longest finally prevailed and ended his life way too soon. Eric was a crucial part of a close-knit, loving family and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held at Wallace Funeral Home in Barboursville from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday. The funeral will also be held at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington.
