JANET LEE BLANKENSHIP, 74, of Huntington, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel by the Rev. Bill Adkins. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. She was born November 4, 1939, in Cabell County, a daughter of the late Forrest and Maude Katherine Ryalls Mitchell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence "Sam" Blankenship, and one sister, June Cox. She is survived by one daughter, Janey Davis of Huntington; one sister, Joyce Lou Mitchell, and one brother, James Forrest Mitchell, both of Huntington; two grandchildren, Heather Board and Samantha Clark; five great-grandchildren, Ashley, Brianna, Taylor, Evan and Jillian; one great-great-grandchild, Hayden; and special friends, Phyllis Hulsey, Jimmie Estep, the McClure family and the Tickett family. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
