Homer was a great father to my children , he taught them about life
And to respect others, to be courteous and always use there manners.
He showed them love and caring. To always respect me and honor me.
He loved people of all walks of life and wanted to help others always.
He loves serving the community and helping people.
He will be missed. May he rest in peace with Jesus.

When I worked with Homer at AK/ARMCO there was never a dull moment. Homer always kept us laughing but could also get serious when needed. Homer was a fine man and boy could he eat. He will be missed by all that knew him. Phil Chatfield.

I am sad to see the passing of a good friend. Homer and I worked together at Armco Steel and he was always a great guy to be around. Even after we both left there we stayed in touch. Some through visits and the occasional letter and then last year a surprise email. Homer had a big heart and could not say no. I'm sure the community will look at him with a smile because he was always a happy guy.

I hoped to see Homer next year at our 60th Huntington High School Class Reunion. It makes me proud to say he was a fellow graduate. My sincere condolences to his children.

Thank you Homer for being a genuine leader for all West Virginians & Huntingtonians would be proud of. As you passed from us Monday night as you drew your last breath. I was privledged to see the smile as you met our beloved God and your precious loved ones which had gone on before. Thank you for letting me become your friend. You will be missed by all of us still here. I hope as you watch us from your new heavenly home to whisper to us or remind us of one of your nuggets of wisdom. May Amanda & Brandon keep those sweet & fondest memories in their hearts of you in good times & bad.I pray the we all find peace and common ground with each other as you did in your life in the coming days ahead.Till we meet again on Gods celestral shore. Rest easy my friend.
