Dorothy Glenn Obituary

ROBINSON - Dorothy Helen Glenn, 100, of Robinson, IL and formerly of Hazel Dell, IL passed away at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, IL. She was born January 23, 1911, in Hallowell, Kansas, the daughter of Charles and Lennie Creighton Henderson. On June 24, 1934, she married William Ray Glenn. He passed away on May 1, 1981. Survivors include her caregiver and niece, June Shore of Brownsburg, IN; great nephew, Randall Shore of Brownsburg, IN; niece, Loretta (Bob) Ballard of Effingham, IL; niece, Darlene (Ken) Hochmuth of O'Fallon, IL; nephew, Raymond (Phyllis) Henderson of Sacramento, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ray Glenn, brothers, Glen Henderson and Bill Henderson and sister, Catherine Mouroney. Helen was a homemaker. She was a member of the Hazel Dell Church of God in Hazel Dell, IL, where she served as a Deaconess for several years. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 23, 2011 at Markwelll Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Rev. Rick Emrich officiating. Burial will follow in the Hazel Dell South Cemetery, Hazel Dell, IL. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL. Memorial donations and contributions may be made to the Hazel Dell Church of God, 124 W. Main St., Hazel Dell, IL 62428.
