Alberta Mudd Obituary

BEMENT - Alberta Lee Mudd, 62, of Bement, IL, passed away at 9:22 a.m., Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 11 at Brintlinger and Earl Cerro Gordo Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery. Alberta was born on August 12, 1945, in Mattoon, IL, to Henry and Cressie (Yargus) Weaver. Alberta and her sister Henrietta were raised by Theodore and Louise Ritter. She married James Mudd on May 2, 1965, in Decatur, and he survives. Alberta worked for many years at Bement Nursing Home as a Certified Nurses Assistant. Surviving are her daughters Tina Dodge and husband Rick of Bement, IL; Tanya Mudd of Cerro Gordo, IL; grandchildren Kerby Mudd, Desiree Dodge, Jimmy Dodge, and Dalton Collingwood; great grandson Clayton Mudd; sister Henrietta Hentz and husband Vernon of Santa Clara, NM; and 9 other siblings.
