As I discovered while working on family history, Almeda Jane was my 2nd cousin once removed. Unfortunately, I never had the pleasure of meeting her or learning the family stories she could have shared.

I'm certain that all of heaven's child angels are rejoicing and welcoming the most wonderful child care person that ever lived. I can see Mrs. K. smiling as they greet her and know that she will be friends with all of them.
I was one of many lucky people to have had Mrs. K. as my son's child caregiver. We lived next door to Mrs. K. for about 20 years and she was like a mother to me as well as a grandmother to my son, Ryan. She was the kindest person I think I've ever known. She loved children and lived her life enriching the lives of all the children she cared for. There are so many lessons I've learned from Mrs. K. but the most important one I think is to never judge anyone........she accepted everyone for who they were and opened her heart to them. We have lost a wonderful woman here on earth, but Heaven has added a child care angel to it's home. May you find comfort in your new home Mrs. K.!! I hope to be your neighbor again when the time comes.............

What a great lady. I knew Jane through my family's friendship with her brother, Calvin. After she moved back to this area, she also attended our church in Trilla. Her passion was being around children. I lovingly referred to her as "Janie-bug." She loved it. She was always asking me about what was going on in the school systems. She cherished every moment with Calvin & Rita. To her, it was an extra blessing if those family moments included Karen and/or Margene & their families (especially the kids). Rest in peace, Janie-bug. Thanks for the laughter & the great times together. You will be missed.
