Dean Norris Obituary

SHELBYVILLE - Dean A. Norris, 87, of Shelbyville passed away at 6:50 a.m. Sunday (May 8, 2011) at the Decatur Memorial Hospital. Private family graveside services will be held Thursday in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville with Chaplin Tim Haworth officiating. Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Shelbyville is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Shelby County Humane Society. He was born November 11, 1923 in Bethany the son of Ott A. and Mayme (Fisher) Norris. He married Erma Marie Sporleder, December 12, 1945 in Bethany and she preceded him in death October 31, 2007. He was a retired farmer. Surviving are daughters, Linda Spears (John) of Tyler, TX, Mary Yarnell (Mick) of Findlay and Lisa Doss of Sullivan; sons, Bill Norris (Sharon) of Bethany and Don Norris (Renee) of Ft. Myers, FL; grandchildren, Greg Spears (friend, Pam Stout) of Plano, TX, Brad Spears (Stacy) of Longview, TX, Becky Bledsoe (David) of Round Rock, TX, Todd Yarnell (Kathy) of Bethany, Tim Yarnell of Sullivan, Sheree Norris (fiancée, Dave Zalanka) of Decatur, Brock Norris of Bethany, Tyler Norris of Ft. Myers, FL, Danielle Doss of Sullivan and Clayton Doss of Sullivan: 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
