Mother

Mother

How sweet the name of "Mother" sounds
And of all spoken words there's no other
Could begin to express the love, kindness and care,
That's embodied in the blessed word, "Mother"

How deep the love in a Mother's heart
For the children God gave to her care
How perfect her understanding of
Our troubles, we know she will share.

How soothing the hands of Mother feels,
to a pain racked body, or fevered brow;
How it quiets our worries, to hear her say,
"Why, you're lots better, there, there now."

How tender the look in a Mother's eyes,
When she gazes with pity, or beams with pride,
It makes no difference if you win or lose.
In life's battles she's always there by your side.

How willing she is to overlook your mistakes
Your faults she just can't seem to see.
And no one will know of the pain she feels,
If you are not what she wants you to be.

Of all the treasures life holds for us,
Of all the gifts we can give one another;
The most precious gift , and we can have but one ---
God sent from Heaven , "A Mother".

My heart goes out to each of you, Shirley, Jim and Mike. I know that you will miss her very much but remembering her is what will keep her alive to everyone. Yesterday there was a great welcoming in Heaven for another Angel and she was greeted by not only Jesus, but Uncle Bill, Grandma, Grandpa, Mom and Dad, Mark, Bobby and so many others who have gone before. There is a joyful celebration happening and we should rejoice her life here. Wish that I could be with you and share the memories. I love you all!
