Freeda Mann Obituary

ARTHUR - Freeda May Mann, 69, of Arthur, IL, passed away at 3:58 am, Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at the Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL Funeral Services will be held at 10 am, Friday, May 13, 2011 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL, with Dr. Lanny Faulkner officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm, on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Keller Cemetery, Lovington, IL Mrs. Mann was born on November 15, 1941 to Fred H. and Mabel L. Shaw West. She married C. Allen Mann on August 8, 1976 in Tuscola, IL. He survives. Other survivors include her daughter: Tammy Jo (Mark) Daily of Atwood, step-daughter: Pam Enyart of Tuscola, step-grandson: Jason Enyart of Mattoon, brother: Fred (Alison) West, Jr. of Lovington, sisters: Lynda Coker of Tower Hill, L. Frances Breen of Danville, Cathy (Carl) Mueller of LaPlace, several very special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorials are suggested to the Humane Society of the donor's choice. Freeda and her husband were the former owners and operators of the Dutch Oven restaurant and co-owner of the Arthur Graphic Clarion, both of Arthur. She formerly operated Freeda's Restaurant in Tower Hill and she formerly worked at Rita's Lunch Box in Lovington. She helped her daughter operate Rosy's Cafe in Atwood. Freeda was a very special lady. I enjoyed working with her and then being an employee of hers. She was one of the nicest lady I ever got to know.
