Grandpa, its been 11 years and I miss you so much. Im married and have 2 kids of my own. Being a wife and mother is hard and have many challenges. There have been many times that i wish i could call you and ask for guidance. I need your wisdom and love. Your hugs were the best and i really need one. I love you so much and can not wait to see you again.

I never met Jerry but was vaguely aware of him over the years. But what is truly amazing is that just hearing mutual friends recount the wonderful testimonials given at his funeral has left a deep impression on me. I am not worthy to carry your shoes, sir; but I know, even without having ever met you, that you'd be more than willing to carry mine, and much, much more. RIP

I was greatly saddened to hear the news of Jerry's passing. I met Jerry and his family when my dad was a Pastor in Warrensburg. I know that he will be missed greatly by those whose lives and hearts were touched by his. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Jerry taught me about the GRACE OF GOD. I grew up in a legalistic church & could never live up to there rules of do's & don'ts. I would not have survived "christianity" without this GRACE. Thank you Jerry & thank you Sharon for sharing him with the body of Christ.

Dear Sharon, I don't know if you remember me. I went to school with you, Jerry and Derald. Jerry was a wonderful man of God. I attended church during Easter one year with Jim Sater. My heart and prayers go out to you at this time. I know he is gone from this earth, but singing with the angels in heaven. And you will see him again. Praise God there is a heaven for us. I cannot believe that I am reading this. Jerry was a phenomenal man. Tressa and I graduated together and I only remember her dad and mom being at all of the events, smiling (just like he is in the picture). He always had that love to give everyone. I am so very sorry for your loss. I am 100% that Jerry is with our Lord, safe, happy and celebrating. May God Bless you and keep you comforted.

I can't express the words I want to say to you. Jerry has been a huge part of our lives since my brother Butch and I were very young, as have the three of you. He guided me through most of my life and gave me much needed spirital guidance. He was such a support for my brother in the days before he passed and was so wonderful at his funeral. He has spoke to me all thru the years about how much he loved you all.Our family has changed because of him and are closer to God because of Jerry. Rest in peace my dear friend and fly with the angels. Watch over us all, especially your dear family. I love you Jer!

I was saddened to hear of Pastor Jerry's passing this morning. He will be missed by many many people..
I know he is with the Lord, perfectly whole !
I have countless memories of all of you since my youth, and of the friendship that Pastor Jerry shared with my Dad....we were so touched the way he was there for us when we lost Dad, and had such a lovely service for him.
I know the days ahead for you will be difficult..and only God can give you comfort knowing we will see him again someday..

Sharon, you may not remember us but our son Matt and his family went to Lodge Church of God when Jerry pastored there and we attended many things there during that time. We also attended a discipleship class led by Jerry there at Lodge and we grew to love and respect him so much. He was a wonderful teacher! He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Pastor Jerry had a spirit that all of us should strive to have and envied. He showed me and my family how your relationship with God should be. Dear Pastor Jerry I will miss you very much . You were always there when I needed you . Pastor Jerry would listen to me and pray with me and when he was done talking to me I felt so much better . ON sunday moring he would always say good moring Paula how are you ? He never forgot peoples names it made me feel so good . I loved watching Pastor Jerry sing his face would light up . Dear pastor Jerry I will still pray with you I know your in heaven with our Lord Dancing and Singing . As a barber, Pastor Jerry was one of my favorite customers. We loved to talk about a miracle working Savior who hears and answers prayer. Sharon, Derald, & the Family,
I wish to express my deepest sympathy with the passing of Jerry. May those fond memories of him provide comfort and strength each and every day. I have so many great memories of my childhood friend. Spent many a day playing ball with him and his brothers in the Boiling Springs neighborhood. He never met a stranger in his life and was a friend to everyone he met. Pastor Jerry helped my family through our own tough time when we lost my dad. The funeral is still talked about to this day because he was the best! Our hearts are with you, Sharon and family and also New Beginnings Church--Pastor Jerry had such an impact on our lives and in the ministry of Lodge Church of God during that season of his life. Countless hearts have been changed by coming to know Jesus and growing in God's word as a result of Pastor Jerry's influence. We remember and appreciate his spiritual guidance, his genuine love for God's people and their well being, and also how much he just enjoyed having fun! On the golf course, in a canoe on the Merimac River, on the mission field, on a motorcycle, or wherever he was with God's people--Jerry lived life to the fullest! dearest family, I have loved Pastor Jerry since my early childhood in Harristown.. He was the man who lead me to christ as a small child in a church I cant remember. I was 7 yrs old and he ask me "if I wanted Jesus to live in my heart, and I said YES." I was in a bad car accident in '76 and my parents separated in '77 and divorced in "78.. and Paster Jerry has always been in my life since.. I will always want to dial the phone when I need help with my problems, but I guess now I will go straight to the throne; because I know my friend is with his Lord now, and Jesus at his side.. I will miss you Pastor Jerry, you were more than a pastor to me, you were my friend, "my strength to go on when days seemed to bad to go on.." I love you Tressa and my thoughts are with you as I know you were a "daddy's girl".. I will pray that all of us left behind get to see him one more time.. Dear Sharon, family and friends:
I'm so sorry for the loss everyone is feeling, who knew and loved Pastor Jerry. He will be missed. My heart aches for the many people who will feel the emptiness from such a loss, myself included. Pastor Jerry had a great sense of humor; had fun in life and never stopped smiling. You could always depend on seeing him standing near an entry at New Beginnings Church of God, with a smile and a handshake ready to greet you. He also revealed a very serious side; which deserved and earned much respect. He loved our Lord, he loved to talk about our Lord, and he led many people to Him. He sure was there many times for my family, and was a mentor and leader to so many people and to other Pastors. My thoughts and prayers will be with every life he touched, every soul he Saved, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He lived a hard life physically from the beginning, but he never let that stop him from doing what he wanted and needed to do. Now he can rest in the arms of our Lord and Savior. We can take comfort in knowing he is in Glory, he is out of pain, and we know that we WILL see him again. I love you and will miss you Pastor Jerry!
