Helen Tyus Obituary

DECATUR - Helen Jean Tyus, 68, departed this life on Saturday, December 29, 2007 in Aspen Ridge Care Centre. Mrs. Tyus was born July 20, 1939 in Brownsville, Tennessee, the daughter of William C. and Annie Fuller. She worked for Best Western as a cook for thirty years. Everyday, you would see Helen with a smile on her face. No one was a stranger to her. She united in Holy Matrimony to Aubery Tyus on December 31, 1962. Helen leaves to cherish her memories, her loving and devoted husband, Aubery of Decatur; four sons, James Elbert Tyus, Aubery L. Tyus Jr., Danny Tyus and Anthony Tyus all of Decatur; one brother, Willie Frank Fuller of Ripley, Tennessee; four sisters, Sally Mae Fuller, Loula Mae Fuller, Martha Anne Fuller, and Jerlene Fuller all of Ripley, Tennessee; twenty-one grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives. Her parents, one brother and one sister preceded her in death. Services celebrating Helen's life will be 12:00 Noon Friday, January 04, 2008 in Walker Funeral Service & Chapel with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be held in Greenwood Cemetery.
