MONTICELLO - H.R. "Bob" Gale, 87, of Monticello, died at 4:45 PM, May 17, 2011 at Kirby Hospital, Monticello. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, May 20, 2011 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Dalrymple officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00-10:30 AM, Friday, May 20, 2011 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Interment will be in Monticello Township Cemetery with Military Rights. Bob was born November 19, 1923 in Monticello the son of Harry Hoffhines and Opal Fern (Vance) Gale. He married Juanita C. Page on October 11, 1947 in Monticello. Survivors include his wife, Juanita Gale of Monticello; sons, Dan (Trish) Gale of Monticello, Bill (Donna) Gale of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; daughter, Pamela (George) Garrison of Monticello; grandchildren, Bryan (Lois) Gale of Tuscon, AZ, Amber (Travis) Oakey of Springville, UT, Christina (Joseph) Garrism-Diehn of Reno, NV, David (Carli) Garrism of Monticello, Katherine (Chris) Dito of Seattle, WA; and great grandson, Austyn Daniel Oakey of Springville, UT. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 sisters. Bob retired from the heating and air conditioning business and served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Monticello, the Monticello VFW Post #5346, the Hamm-Burke American Legion Post #101 of Monticello, and the Amateur Trap Association. Memorials may be made to the Monticello VFW Post #5346 or to the First Christian Church of Monticello.
