L. O'Bryan Obituary

MORRISONVILLE - L. Ruthie O'Bryan, 95, of Linton, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Linton Nursing & Rehab in Linton, Indiana. Born in Morrisonville, Illinois, on December 18, 1915, she was the daughter of James Bert and Nyrah Ethel (Weatherford) Pope. She married James Bennett O'Bryan on December 30, 1933. Ruthie was a homemaker and a Dental Assistant. She retired in 1975. Ruthie was also a member of Loyal Order of the Moose, American Legion Post #22 Ladies Auxiliary and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving family includes four sons, Jimmy O'Bryan, Dennis O'Bryan, both of Linton, Joe O'Bryan, Jeffery O'Bryan, both of Decatur, IL; one daughter, Judith Harp of Linton; fourteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Ruthie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James, in 1993 and two daughters, Jackie and Jan. Graveside services will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Linton, IN on Saturday, May 14, 2011, at 1:00 PM. The family has entrusted Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with all arrangements.
