Mary Hauffe Obituary

DECATUR - Mary Ann Hauffe, 83 of Decatur died 6:50 Saturday June 4, 2011 in Aspen Ridge Nursing Home. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm. Thursday June 9, 2011 at Summit Avenue Baptist Church 1715 N. Summit Ave. Decatur, IL. 62526. Visitation will be 2 hours before service also at the church. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of arrangements. Mary Ann was born November 5, 1927 in Decatur daughter of James C. and Veva M. Bridgeman Isome. She graduated from Decatur High School in 1945 and from Proctor Hospital School of Nursing, Peoria, IL. in 1949. She served as Dr. J.B. Waller's obgyn nurse for 10 years and also as nurse at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Mary Ann married Richard S. Hauffe in Decatur on September 29, 1951 at Cleveland Avenue Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, son, Richard A. (Dedra) Hauffe of Moweaqua, IL., grandchildren, Collay (Kent) Kurima of Washington, IL., Sara (Michael) Varner of Carmel, IN., great grandchildren, Dylan and Sydney Kurima, Ada Varner, brothers, J. Russell (Imogene) Isome of Mt. Zion, IL., Floyd Isome of FL., sisters, Juanita Casey of Decatur, Joanne (Norm) Harbinson of AZ., several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David Isome. The family wishes to thank everyone who has helped us over the years. Obituary written by family members.
