HIDALGO - Rual Warfel, age 104 of rural Hidalgo, IL passed away at 9:25 AM – Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM – Friday, June 3, 2011 at the Hidalgo Church of Christ in Hidalgo, IL. Burial will be in the Aten Cemetery in Hidalgo, IL. Visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 PM – Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the Bishop Funeral Home in Greenup, IL. In loving memory of Rual, memorials may be made to the Hidalgo Church of Christ. Rual was born on December 28, 1906 in Jasper County, Illinois the son of Henry Elza and Cora Emmaline (Conner) Warfel. He married Chlora Mae Chapman and she preceded him in death on March 15, 1935 and he later married Edna Shephard on December 10, 1936 and she preceded him in death on March 27, 2007. Rual was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Hidalgo Church of Christ and enjoyed woodworking and gardening. Rual is survived by: 6 Children – Mabel (Orville) Kibler of Newton, IL; Robert Warfel of Greenup, IL; Glenn (Sandy) Warfel of Greenup, IL; Ronnie Warfel of Yale, IL Doyle (Carolyn) Warfel of Drummonds, TN; Larry (Linda) Warfel of Martinsville, IL; Daughter-in-Law – Mildred Warfel of Hidalgo, IL; Numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren also survive. Rual was preceded in death by his parents, 2 wives; daughter Jeanette Sachau; son Raymond Warfel; 2 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Obituary written by family members.
