Sarah Adams Obituary

ASSUMPTION - Sarah Mildred Adams, 82, of Assumption died May 17, 2011 (4:35 a.m.) in Prairie Rose Care Center, Pana. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 20, 2011 in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption with Shawn Daniels, Minister officiating. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 19, 2011 also in the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption. Memorials may be made to Church of Christ, Pana. Sarah was born May 14, 1929 in Coxey, Alabama, the daughter of R.L. Baker and Odis (Chandler) Baker. She married James Thomas Adams on August 17, 1946 in Mark Tree, AR. He preceded her in death on March 28, 1986. She was a member of Church of Christ, Pana and worked in a nursing home as a nurse's aide. Surviving are sons James and wife Mary Beth Adams of Bloomington, IL., C. Doug and wife Kathy Adams of Atlanta, IL, Larry and wife Teresa Adams, Rocky and wife Rose Adams, Anthony and wife Becky Adams all of Lincoln, IL.; daughter Ola Jean and husband Richard Waller of Assumption; sisters Maxine Ray of Bradford, FL, Earline Nash of Poplar Bluff, MO, Caroline, and husband Ray Walker of Sikeston, MO, Rita Rae and husband John Sliger also of Sikeston, Emma Jean and husband Jack Eubanks of Kennett, MO; 19 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, seven brothers, and four sisters. Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption has been entrusted with care and service arrangements.
