DOLAN, DANIEL Dennis, was born to Joseph and Juanita Dolan in Cleveland, Ohio, on March 10, 1941, and lived his first years in a housing project under the Detroit Superior Bridge on the shore of the Cuyahoga River. The youngest of three, he graduated from St. Ignatius of Loyola Preparatory School in Cleveland and was the first in his family to graduate college attending the University of Miami on a football scholarship and graduating in 1964 with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. Dann chartered Dolan Enterprises on St. Patrick's Day, 1966, and served as president for 31 years. Dolan Enterprises was the largest interiors outfitting firm in the southeastern United States that specialized in education and other government facilities and was responsible for hundreds of school laboratories, classrooms, and gymnasiums throughout the state. In 1967, Dann married Carole Dell, with whom he had recently celebrated their 45th anniversary. After "retiring" in 1997, Dann served as a Vice President of Coastal Construction until his death. Dann was a true University of Miami Hurricanes fan and was a brother of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. Dann was an experienced yachtsman and spent many years on the waters of Biscayne Bay often hosting friends and family at Stiltsville #18. Dann took great pride in his home, where friends could often be found in its bar, Dann hosting. Throughout his life, Dann traveled extensively, including the Caribbean, Ireland and the American west. An eternal Irishman, Dann was a charter member of the Emerald Society of South Florida and served as a chairman of Miami's First St. Patrick's Day Parade. Dann passed away on November 5, 2012, and is survived by his wife, Carole, his sons Dan (Kristin), and Doug, granddaughter Elizabeth, godchildren Alison Robinson and Ashley Edens, and sisters, Sheran and Maureen. A Mass will be held for Dann at 1pm on Thursday, Nov. 8th at St. Hugh Catholic Church, 3460 Royal Road, Coconut Grove, Florida 33133. Friends are invited to gather at Coral Reef Yacht Club at 2:30 to remember Dann. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Samaritan's Purse at www.samaritanspurse.org.

Of all the Irishman I grew up with and went to school with , Dann was certain;y the most handsome . I'll never forget him and Eugene dancing in perfect choreography to West Side Story in my basement rec room in Cleveland on W . 57 th . And I'll never forget the great parties at the carriage house on Biscaine Bay next to Vizcaya . Dann sure knew a lot of pretty women in our single days. Deepest sympathies to Carole and the entire family . But let heaven rejoice !

I lost a hero this week, my Uncle Dann was not only a true inspiration, but also
A treasured friend. Always with words of encouragement and always valued advise.
A man of true integrity, loyalty and honor. I will miss our long conversations and good
Cigars. I rejoice in the fact that he will be reunited with Grandma and grandpa, Dad and Uncle Dave
And you can be assured that the Irish music and singing will be playing a little louder in Heaven this week.
