Allen Jr., William H. - Miami  
ALLEN, WILLIAM H. JR. William H. Allen Jr., passed away on August 25th, 2015, surrounded by his family after a six-month battle with leukemia. Bill was born on Nov. 22, 1935, in Gowanda, New York. He was the son of the late Inez Tabor Allen and William Howard Allen. He graduated from Colgate University and upon graduation proudly joined the United States Marine Corps and served for five years. He continued his strong allegiance to the Marine Corps throughout his life. He also received his MBA from Hardvard Business School. He began his banking career in 1962 at Southeast Bank and after 19 years, he was asked to serve as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Pan American Bank, NA. He later served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Intercontinental Bank. Upon its acquisition by Bank of America, he joined Northern Trust as vice chairman of Northern Trust of Florida. Bill has served his community as a Trustee of the United Way of Dade County; Don Shula Foundation; Community Partnership for the Homeless; United States Marine Corps Scholarship Fund and as a Director of the Dade Foundation; The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis and the YMCA Camp Florida. In addition, he was very involved in many other civic organizations throughout Florida. Bill is survived by his wife of 56 years, Beverly Millikan Allen and their five children: Jennifer Garrity (Scott); Mary Christine Birr (Jeff); William H. Allen III (Sarah); Stacey Allen; Melissa Allen (Tony Guerrera); 15 Grandchildren; 2 Great Grandchildren, sister, Judy Vinroot (Richard) and his beloved golden retrievers, Mason and Dixon. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday 8/29 at Miami Shores Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United States Marine Corps Scholarship Fund and the Community Partnership for the Homeless. The family wishes to thank all those who supported Bill throughout this journey with their many prayers, visits, phone calls and well wishes.

Arkin, Stanley - Miami  
We will miss our friend of more than 45 years, Stanley Arkin. Stanley was a warm and caring man who selflessly helped everyone in need. Stanley's later years were dedicated to the care of his wife Jill, the love of his life. Our sincere condolences to the Arkin Family. Rest in peace dear friend. Irma and Norman Braman
