KNAP, JOHN E. "Jack"
KNAP, JOHN E. "Jack", "Sweet Dad", 94, passed away at his home comfortably and surrounded by family on May 21, 2015. He was a true American success story and exemplified what a strong work ethic could accomplish. He was very proud to be a Knight of Malta and was a founding member of the North Miami Elks and Knights of Columbus. Sweet Dad was an avid fisherman who made catching the elusive snook an art form. Above all, he was a dedicated family man who is survived by his wonderful wife of 37 years, Hilda, his three children Peggy Morello, Jackie Briggle and John Knap, Jr., eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandson. His fourth child Laurie pre-deceased him. He made every holiday and family fun day a special occasion and his gregarious smile and enthusiasm will be missed. The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the health workers who compassionately cared for Sweet Dad and made him comfortable in his final days. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at St. Martha's Church, 9221 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami Shores, Fl on June 6, 2015 at 11:00 am.
